Zoopepen brilliance, Brokered art sales, and Mapans new releases | Cornering The Market # 99
Cornering The Market #99 - April 18, 2025
Market Recap
Sentiment felt pretty good this week despite it being low volume.
It feels like crypto has equilibrated to the craziness out in the traditional finance world, and on the art side the high end sales keep coming in. Oh to be liquid at this time.
Zoopepens, the latest Opepen set, broke the mold by making every mint unique. It was also a brilliant display of imagination bringing to life 80 animals using JB's classic style.
The collection is at a 3.3E floor, the 5th highest of the Opepen sets, and has helped boost the floor of the unrevealeds to 0.3
The biggest sale of the week was 255 for an XCOPY 1/1 "N" - a beauty. Oh to have been around when those 1/1s were initially listed!

Exciting upcoming drops
4/22 - Sketchbook B (1/1/64) and Etudes (1/1/640) by William Mapan (Verse) - It's finally time! I've been highlighting these and waiting for them so I won't go into detail, but I would highly encourage anyone to go to the website and generate a few outputs + save some of your favorites. This is the beauty of code gen art and it's completely free!
5/1 - Grant Yun is back at it again, this time with a series of 20 1/1s releasing on Fellowship. The outputs are in his classic minimalist style that we love
Art to highlight
Abstract Firsts - Many of you may not have heard of the Abstract Chain, made famous by PFPs, but there is a burgeoning NFT culture there. The very first collection there is actually a generative art project created by the brilliant coder and artist Nix. These ascii based pieces have motion, some slow, some fast, some up, some down, and are mesmerizing in their own right. I love that Nix jumped on the opportunity to stamp art onto the front of this chain and have always been a sucker for both ASCII art + art with motion, so I wanted to make sure I shared
